University Baptist Church, Ogbomoso was planted by Ori-Oke Baptist Church, Ogbomoso in 1995 and organized in 2002.
We have prayerfully taken some steps towards church planting and we have also provided
leadership by way of adoption of some Churches. It becomes very necessary to chronicle
the efforts as we celebrate the organization of some Churches.The goal is to
provide our young churches and possibly others,the opportunity to learn from our
successes and mistakes.
The Church planting approach of UBC is self-sustaining approach, by this we concentrate Our efforts on making the life and home of the pastor comfortable through regular payment of salaries, allowances, benefits, pension, appreciation services, training and retraining. Such pastor is then required to do the work for which he was called by God, trained by the Convention and engaged by our Church. We hold them responsible and accountable for Church growth and health, we encourage them to raise fund for church physical development and demand regular reports from them..

The Education Unit consists of the Sunday School Department, Discipleship Unit,
Reading Class, Drama Department, Library And Academic Unit. The Ministry has been known for teaching, accountability, relationship building, influence and good Christian conduct.
The education ministry through its various units use small groups to engage,interact and hold
members accountable. Hence the education ministry of the University Baptist has a
holistic approach to Christian living, maturity and development.
This generation is often described as the Jet age. Everybody is on the move, both young and old. It is becoming increasingly difficult, particularly for teenagers, to study the word of God. Teenagers are faced with a lot of competing issues such as peer pressure, fashion, entertainment, technological advancement, social media and as such many of them find it difficult to study the Bible.
Specific Objectives:
To motivate teenagers to study one book of the Bible per quarter.
To conduct quiz competition among teenagers per quarter on a chosen book of the Bible.
To prepare a review of the chosen books, in form of a literature to be distributed during the last quarter of the year.
